Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson

Adrian Slattery & Steve Jobs

What a great read for all designers! Who would have thought a young man could go from Hare Krishna to the most influential tech giant of our time. I found his story fascinating since Design Interface has worked with almost all of the products described in the book and I’ve followed his career from the beginning. It’s a must read for all industrial designers, especially the chapter Design Principles, The Studio of Jobs and Ive. It outlines the design process of these two men and their following of the German designer Dieter Rams. He preached “Less but better,” Jobs and Ive took that to heart and challenged themselves to simplify all of Apple’s products. – Carla
